Lost 03:31
Take a while and think it out To get a grip, and wring it out The last I’d heard they promised you A slate that’s clean, a path that’s true And no one knows the way home No one ever says “Im just as lost as anyone, No hint of a clue of what’s to come How can I be where I am? Isn’t every other man Left to wander like me? Just a leaf in the breeze…” A bit of time and follow through That nervous kid that follows you The one who wears your shadow’s shoes Had always feared but never knew That no one knows the way home No one ever says “Im just as lost as anyone, No hint of a clue of what’s to come How can I be where I am? Isn’t every other man Left to wander like me? Just a leaf in the breeze…” How can I be where I am? Left with two broken limbs on which to stand Oh I’m serious, you wonder If I’ve got your paper But I don’t think it matters who my pockets know

Such haste to make To bare it all for anything To open doors, to wage new wars, To get first in line, be first to die What waste to gain Not knowledge, only facts in vain What point is proved? What wound is soothed? The failing heart or the surface bruise? It’s hard to say if tomorrows more means less today Who can stand to wait? Is patience just a fool’s mistake What’s left to lose? A hubris stood in quaking shoes? Is there no shame? Just misplaced pride? Where’s humble gone? He’s not inside… What modern plight, entire selves out in plain sight And no one hides Because the forum’s wide Keep your private ties from our public lives It’s hard to say if Tomorrows more means less today Who can stand to wait? Is patience just a fools mistake We need it all The world is ours, we’ll never fall Who can stand to wait? The virtue’s gone, it’s been replaced So what’s the need to know? To know the whole world’s story And be in the middle now it’s just losses shown And I know, though we hope, I just know we’ve all gone cold and lonely
3.
Am I a fair weather friend? Do I come and go with the wind? And when your wheels just spin Would you call on my for traction? In this world we live in where nothing is certain Do you plant your feet or do you wander free Like a question not for answering Do you plant your feet or do you wander free Like the fair weather man I’ve been

Grays 04:09
We all tend to break When we bend this way We’re not careful with ourselves We’re skin stretched on broken bones On the mend for days Wisdom speaks while deaf ears play We’re just careful what we are We’re not careful what we’re not And all this time spent trying to be A perfect balanced symmetry Push and pull to find a way To balance out our grays It takes time to learn To stay in certain wars keeps peace for you A grave sign, to seek no refuge from the storm A badge no longer worn And all this time spent trying to be A perfect balanced symmetry Push and pull to find a way To balance out our grays

Our Voice 04:15
Wait at my side, oh patient one We can bathe in the mid day sun Keep the whole day for us Say when it’s time and off we run Though the world often weighs a ton It’s no weight for us We and our voice rival the setting Sun We and our voice say when the day is done Sing when it’s time our voices bloom Hear the birds and their jealous tune? Let them all envy us We and our voice rival the setting Sun We and our voice say when the day is done There is no choice, hold precious the gracious ones We and our voice say when the day is done

about

Another long rested project, finished over the course of upwards of 10 years. New music to come, potentially with a different project name, but sometimes you have to wrap up the old before you can move on with the new.

credits

released December 4, 2020

All things performed, recorded, blah blah blah by me at either Goat House or The Sad Castle. A portion of "Grays" drums were recorded by Mike Robinson somewhere in luxurious Los Angeles, mimosa in hand, tacos in tum.
